Where to Eat in San Antonio
Here's a great guide to some of the best restaurants in San Antonio. It'll bust your diet but you can always have a salad or other local light meals if you want to at any of these fine restaurants.
Folc
This is a great foodie hub in Olmos Park. They consciously create good food. Check out a crowd favorite of pea and ricotta toast or the grilled quail with pork belly, apples and syrup. This should make your list even with the house salad and dehydrated mushrooms.
Kimura
This is a boutique restaurant with amazing local and organic ingredients and the presentation is creative. There is miso soup and yakitori. Make sure you try it with a soft-boiled egg because the flavor profiles are too good to pass on.
Sustenio
It has received the James Beard Award and the chef Stephan Pyle is creative with every dish. The menu is named with the "wood-fired-meets-cast-iron" menu. You will never be disappointed with the dishes such as chicken fried buffalo steak or the mascarpone cheesecake. There's also a great bar while you wait for the table.
Bliss
The motto here is that "food is bliss". It is a warm and engaging atmosphere with great service. Make sure you try the chicken fried Gulf oysters or the rack of lamb. Check out the heat in the kitchen with nine others at the chef's table.
Market on Houston
This is a farm to table restaurant and urban market integrates downtown spot in San Antonio. The fresh local ingredients are the spotlight. The Thai beef flatbread in the 1909 Burger must be tried along with gristmill grits and bacon butter.
